Misc info on playing...

QTank is basically a DM TC. Run around in all-new custom levels, grab a tank, and blast the hell out of the other players. The weapons are almost completely new, and I've done my best to balance them all out. You can see weapons descs in the weapons section. :)

The image above is the tank item. After you spawn, find this item, and you get a tank. Pretty simple eh? Tanks come with 999 health. At the moment, there's no item that repairs them. When the tank's health gets below 200, it'll start smoking. At that time, you can eject to save your skin, unless you actually want to revert to many tiny bits.

When you kill a tank with the player still inside, the tank will drop a storage pack, as seen above. They work exactly like the players' backpack, and hold tank ammunition. They're easy to spot due to the big flashing "FREE AMMO" neon sign on the side. :)
When a player faces off against a tank, there's not much in question as to who will win. Players usually have 100 health at most, tanks have 999. Most of the tank's weapons will gib players in one hit. The basic concept is that it sucks to be a player when the other people have tanks. Tanks are immune to most player weapons, the exceptions being the rocket launcher and the grenade launcher. Lightning guns also damage, but very little. One thing lightning guns will also do is mess with a tank's manuvering jets, causing it to turn off course a little. If a player gets quad damage, grenades and rockets will deal 4x damage, and all other weapons will hurt the tank as well, but only at normal damage. Another thing that puts tanks in a class above players, is that tanks can run over players. Quite fun indeed. In addition, if a player happens to be in the unfortunate position of under the trajectory of a falling tank, he/she will be instantly squashed. The only two advantages to players over tanks are
(1) Players can fit in places that tanks can't reach
(2) When a player kills a tank, they get TWO frags.
Tank move mostly like players, with a few exceptions. While in a tank, hold on the jump button, and you glide forward at a speed much faster than a running player. The tanks can't aim up or down (unless the server specifically allows it), which is often a problem. When going uphill or downhill, tanks tilt appropriately. This can be an advantage or a disadvantage, depending on the situation. :)
